Description

The Ebola Virus Youth Project is a project that are mainly focusing on educating the youth to help prevent the spread of the Ebola virus. The actions and aims of the Ebola Virus Youth Project are to educate the youth on the importance of preventing the spread of the Ebola virus, to help the youth have a clear mindset of the Ebola virus and to positively influence the health behavior of the youth in their communities.

Health is the most essential thing in life, though many of us fail to understand it. When health is promoted to people it enables them to understand how to live a healthy lifestyle and have a clear positive mindset on what health is. Especially in rural areas, people need to have access to health information so they will be able to take care of their health, this will enable them to know how they can protect themselves from local epidemic diseases and to avoid the spread of diseases like the deadly Ebola virus, which are mainly common in unhygienic surroundings.

The Ebola virus has stroked a young boy's household, who was only 13 years old and he is currently a victim of the heavy outbreak of the Ebola virus that overtook DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo) that left him family less. The Ebola virus has killed his entire relatives. It's such a pity and pain to see a 13-year-old male grow up without anybody by his side, no one to overlook him, no one to direct him and no one to advise him to make the right choices. One growing up without motherly love or family is a great pity and pain for one.

Megina's mother was the first initial target of the Ebola virus. There is so much pain to children seeing their mother die slowly but surely in pain, being a victim of the mother's painful death wasn't an easy thing for him. Megina's mother was not the only one in the family killed by the virus, Megina had to see his older and younger sisters die of the virus as well. The Ebola virus had killed his aunts and 8 of them where left hospitalized. His entire family was destroyed by the Ebola virus. Megina had to go through the emotional pain by himself with the help of comfort by the health workers who gave him immediate treatment as he was a victim of the Ebola virus, to avoid him being infected by the virus and for his life to be saved. It wasn't easy for him, but he had to remain strong and focus on what is towards him. He also had to focus on preventing himself to become the next Ebola target.

He kept praying and hoping that at least the remains that are hospitalized will be saved, that they will be cured from the virus, but he knew deep down that their situation was critical and since they didn't receive immediate medical care, the only thing left, is death.
