Description

The new phenomenon of pandemic billionaires has been the quirky result of the terrible Covid pandemic that first emerged at the end of 2019 in China and spread quickly to the rest of the world. The lethal virus then underwent various mutations, ending up with the more transmissible but less lethal Omicron variant by 2022. By early 2023, the last country that practised the strict zero-covid policy of extensive lockdowns, China, has reopened for travels.

When China did that in early January 2023, many so-called experts and survey agencies in the West predicted that it will cause more than a million deaths in China within a short time. This prediction, however, proved to be patently false. It was nothing but the standard cry-wolf disinformation used by Western experts and media in their anti-China rhetoric. By February 2023, China has removed almost all covid restrictions without calamity. Similarly, covid restrictions have been removed almost everywhere in the world. It was indeed an amazing exit for the world from a seemingly undefeatable pandemic.

In the 3 years of the covid pandemic, there were many millions of deaths around the world, especially in USA and Europe. The severe travel restrictions and lockdowns imposed around the world to stem the spread of the virus have led to severe economic setback and damage. But ironically, while it decimated many economies and caused great hardship to the general population, it had also created the conditions for the emergence of many pandemic billionaires around the world.

Billionaires are unnatural creatures created by the patently unfair and lopsided economic system that has prevailed around the world for too many years. It is high time that they disappear from this earth. They should become the only species to become extinct in the new world of tomorrow.
